My name is Bernadeta Cansdell My background
is in nursing and midwifery. I was a clinical tutor training nurses in
how to deliver babies and educating nurses in theory - clinical
teachings within pregnancy antenatal labour and postnatal. In the 1970's
I completed family planning certification and worked in family clinics
for fifteen years and at the same time worked within community based
nursing. My knowledge and further training was then directed to women s
health nursing. In the twenty years of womens health consultancy (CNC 3)
I provided a broad range of training for nurses in hospitals and
community. expert advice on women' health issues, communication and
relationships . I represented women as the spokeswoman dealing with
work related issues Education sessions and training were given on various topics on womens health, relationships, male and female communication patterns, the impact on bullying in the workplace, groups such as the Older Womens Network who were experiencing anxiety, topics on . 'grumpy old women' understanding anger and the impact on relationships, to name a few given to large and small groups.
